Emil migrated to New York where he continued his studies and graduated "dean's list" with an Associates Degree in Business Management from the Borough of Manhattan Community College. Always a hardworking professional from the beginning, Emil worked full-time throughout his college career to receive his Bachelor of Business Administration (Magna Cum Laude) with a concentration in Accounting & Finance from the American Intercontinental University and soon after, attained a Master of Science in Accounting from Liberty University. In 2020 the State of Florida and the Florida State University conferred upon Emil, the designation of Certified Public Manager.

During a professional career that extents more than 21 years, Emil has held multiple roles and functions. The companies he contributed to include Grey Group, a conglomerate of WPP (largest advertising agency worldwide); Spraylat Corporation, one of the largest privately held coatings manufacturing of North America at the time; Townsquare Media, a digital media solutions and radio company; the City of Miami, a municipality with over $600 million in annual revenues and over 4,000 employees; and most recently the City of Hallandale Beach, a municipality responsible of an operating budget of $130 million and over 500 employees. Additionally, Emil engaged in trading activities as a sole proprietor and subsequently for Caonabo Holdings with great success.
